Student Eligibility
Minimum Qualification:
- To apply for the Educare loan, students must have completed their II PUC or equivalent in a 10+2 education system.
- For general courses like undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and nursing, students must have at least 60% marks. For professional courses like engineering, medical, and hotel management, 70% marks are required.
Ineligible Courses:
- Students in correspondence, part-time, private studies, or specific job courses at tutorials are not eligible. The loan is only for regular university degrees or diplomas.
Family Income:
- The total annual income of the entire family (both parents and unmarried siblings) should be less than ₹6,00,000 (₹Six Lakhs only).
Domicile and Religion:
- Only Catholic students who are residents in the Parishes of the Mangalore Diocese who takes admission in catholic institution are given priority with the exception to
Competitive exams. Take enough precautions on the temporary rental basis residents.
Course Location:
- Educare does not support overseas education or courses outside Karnataka unless the course is unavailable within the state.
Admission Requirements:
- Only students admitted through NEET/CET/KRLMPCA/COMED-K/PGCET or
equivalent government exams are eligible. Proof of admission must be provided.
Educare does not support management quota (Payment seats).
Application Requirements:
- Incomplete or misrepresented applications will be rejected without notice.
- Ensure all required documents are submitted during the application or interview. Failure to submit the necessary marks cards or documents will result in rejection.
The Educare executive committee has the final say in approving and disbursing loans. They can reject applications they find to be non-genuine, undeserving, or incomplete without explanation.
Application Submission Process
- Students must apply online at www.educarecodp.in by completing and submitting the full application.
- After submission, print the application, get it signed by the Gurkar and submit it to your church office.
- Each church will have a committee appointed by the Parish Priest to review and approve applications.
- Approved applications, signed by the PPC Vice President and the Parish Priest, should be sent to CODP either by the parish office or the student before the due date.
Required Documents
- Completed application signed by Gurkar, PPC Vice President, and Parish Priest.
- Copy of latest Aadhaar card (Student and Guarantor).
- Copy of the latest Ration card.
- Copy of latest marks card.
- Proof of admission to a recognized course / Fees receipt.

- The last date to apply online is 31-10-2025.
